Amonarchy
Formed in Los Angeles by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Kyle Purwin, Amonarchy is a modern metal band that blends cinematic atmosphere, aggressive riffs, and high-energy live performances into a powerful and distinctive sound.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Kyle returned to the West Coast and immersed himself in the Los Angeles rock and metal scene. There, he joined forces with bassist Sam Apotheker and drummer David Rehmann, forming Amonarchy with the goal of creating a band that combined modern heavy music with dynamic songwriting and anthemic intensity.
Since its formation, Amonarchy has built a reputation as a commanding live act across the Los Angeles club circuit. The band performs regularly at iconic venues including the Whisky a Go Go and the Viper Room, delivering energetic sets that have earned them a rapidly growing and enthusiastic fan base within the rock and metal community.
Amonarchy has also shared the stage with renowned artists such as Smith & Kotzen, Powerman 5000, Michael Angelo Batio, and Geoff Tate, further solidifying their presence within the modern heavy music landscape.
In June 2023, the band released their self-titled debut album, written and produced by Purwin, introducing their blend of heavy riffs, electronic textures, and cinematic songwriting. Now entering a new creative chapter, Amonarchy is preparing to release a series of singles throughout 2026, including the upcoming track “Stand to Fall.” These releases will lead into the band’s highly anticipated second studio album, scheduled for 2027, as they continue to expand their sound and reach a wider global audience.
With a growing catalog of music and a relentless live presence, Amonarchy is quickly establishing itself as one of the rising forces in the Los Angeles metal scene.
